'MAD MEN" Joy Golden started her advertising career in 1952 at the bottom
of the hierarchy in the copywriting world of BBDO, a major ad agency.
Over the years – and eleven other agencies – her talent for writing copy
for everything from bras to Buicks, Joy who was a natural comedian, opened
her own business at 55 - a humor-based radio commercial company called
Joy Radio. Launched by a campaign for Laughing Cow Cheese, Joy's work
landed "a million" awards and a permanent place in the Museum of Television
and Radio, which she says "was the happiest moment since my second divorce."
